Yet another installation into the 2-year-long Droid Incredible lineup, the Droid Incredible 4G LTE fits right in. As someone who owned the original Droid Incredible (in fact, it’s still lying around somewhere around here) and whose wife carried the Incredible 2 for a while, I was very eager to get my hands on this device. With obvious cues to its heritage in its form factor and color, the newest addition to the family has some obvious upgrades, but I’m still waiting for the “Ultimate Incredible.” Continue reading →

Verizon Debuts The New 4G HTC Droid Incredible
A new Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone will be hitting the Verizon shelves soon. Verizon and HTC once again have teamed up to release the new HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE smartphone. The phone comes packed with a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, a 4 inch LCD qHD screen, and an 8 megapixel camera. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been much talk about price or an exact release date – just a vague availability of “in the coming weeks”. Continue reading →
BlackBerry Releases PlayBook 2.0 Update, Reignites a Friendship
I turned on our (okay, my wife’s) BlackBerry PlayBook the other day and, much to my surprise, the 2.0 update was available! Alright, so I wasn’t really surprised. I had read all about it from the various blogs, but I definitely was more than pleased with this download. The update unified the device and showed that BlackBerry has a err… playbook for the PlayBook. For something that never gained the popularity of the iPad or Galaxy Tab, the PlayBook is still quite the competitor. An ideal screen size for most hands and a predominantly “landscape” orientation combine to make this a portable powerhouse great for entertainment. Plus it’s still supported, unlike the HP TouchPad. Samsung Galaxy Nexus vs Motorola Droid Razr Maxx
If you’re looking for the true Google experience, obviously you can’t look past a Nexus device. While Google allows any manufacturer eligibility to produce each Nexus, the ultimate goal is pure Google and pure power. While I’ve never had anything against any prior Nexus device, Samsung has done the Galaxy Nexus oh so right. Obviously, the ability to uninstall or disable almost every application is a huge plus. The Galaxy Nexus offers this whereas the Razr Maxx comes with quite a bit of bloatware that you cannot uninstall (without the aid of root). Continue reading →
Seidio Active Combo Case for Galaxy Nexus Review
When it came to protecting my Galaxy Nexus, I looked no further than Seidio. They protected my Bionic so well that I couldn’t pass them up. While the construction of this case was slightly different than my first from Seidio, the protection wasn’t compromised at all. This case has definitely saved my phone more than once. A new mobile web browser is coming to your Android smartphone today. On top of that, Chrome Beta is only available is certain countries (including the U.S., phew!). Continue reading →
Motorola Droid Bionic Lapdock Review
Most accessories can make a mobile device feel (and look) new again, or even give it a couple of extra functions or uses. But then there are some accessories that essentially reinvent the original device, transforming it into something completely different. That’s exactly what the Motorola Lapdock does. No one’s really sure when Google will be releasing Ice Cream Sandwich, the next update to the Android operating system, but users are getting very anxious.
