New Future iPhone Mockups – Apple Worthy?

New Future iPhone Mockups - Apple Worthy?

Forum users over at the 9to5 Mac Forums have posted two iPhone mockups based on current iPhone rumors. Of course these mockups almost never reach users hands, they’re still fun to imagine using. And then there are some people who take mockups a little too far. Below are two mockups that were created to reflect rumors surrounding the new iPhone that will be released this year and iOS 6 which will be released during Apple’s WWDC in June. Continue reading →

AT&T Officially Begins Unlocking iPhones

AT&T Officially Begins Unlocking iPhones

Yesterday marked the day that AT&T, the iPhone’s original carrier since 2007, began unlocking iPhones. Previously, AT&T subscribers were able to have their phones unlocked providing that it wasn’t an iPhone, but that strange policy is now a thing of the past. However, if you’re currently sporting a new iPhone 4S or other model that is still under a 2 year contract, AT&T will not unlock your iPhone. In addition to that, AT&T account holders that are in bad standing with the company also won’t be able to have their iPhone unlocked. Continue reading →

How To: Save Your iPhone’s Voicemails For Safekeeping

How To: Save Your iPhone's Voicemails For Safekeeping

Saving voicemails is important. For various reasons, from legal issues to saving a loved one’s voice, people sometimes need to save voicemails. And they should be able to, right? Well, almost every U.S. cell phone provider deletes voicemails after a certain period of time – from 14 to 30 days. They’re your voicemails, so why are you letting your carrier determine which to delete?

On top of that, iPhone users don’t even have an option to save or forward voicemails despite how “smart” it is. So I’ve created this guide on how to save your iPhone voicemails permanently. It’ll take you five simple steps to complete, and it doesn’t even require jailbreaking your device. Continue reading →

How To: Create Custom iPhone Ringtones With iTunes

pinglio_itunesringtones

If there’s one question I get asked from novice iPhone users, it’s “how do I make a phone call?”. Shortly after they’ll ask me how to create their own custom ringtones without paying that hefty $1.29 in the iTunes store. So instead of guiding them through the steps over the phone (or worse case, making their ringtones myself), I’ve decided to create a quick How To guide that’s easy to follow and will take you only 5 minutes to complete once you get the hang of it. Hill then goes on to explain the new approach to discovering future jailbreak exploits. Continue reading →

Finally, there’s a way to actually activate your humble personal assistant without even touching the phone. Within the past decade, mobile devices have allowed us all to communicate with others in variety of ways – calling, texting, tweeting, emailing, and the list goes on and on. Such a convenience comes with a price though. Mobile devices are just that – mobile, and it’s just as easy to slip the phone in your pocket as it is for it to slip out of your pocket. When that happens, let’s hope you had Prey installed. Continue reading →
