Twitter launched their first set of Twitter Stories Monday which will become a monthly portfolio of their best 140-character limit posts they have selected to remind us of the humanity behind Tweets that make the world smaller. In their first collection of stories, we learn about the first Tweet from space, a kidney disease patient who received an organ donation after tweeting sh*t, I need a kidney, and movie critic Roger Ebert who still delivers his keen insights to his followers through Twitter despite having lost his ability to speak. Review: New Twitter Is Here

Last week I wrote about the new interface design for Twitter. Today Twitter posted that it’s slowly pushing out the new Twitter to random users. The pinglio Twitter account was one of the lucky chosen ones. I created the pinglio account a few months ago. My personal account still hasn’t gotten the push and I’ve had it since early 2008. Twitter’s Getting a Facelift

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: Twitter needs an updated web interface. With all these fancy Twitter iPhone and desktop apps coming out I was beginning to think the web interface was looking a bit old. Looks like I was right. Twitter announced today at their live event that the website was getting a facelift. From what I can see it’s a very similar interface to the official Twitter app for iPad that was released less than two weeks ago. Let’s take a look. Continue reading →
